•     赵万磊于2002年7月和2005年11月先后在云南大学获得工学学士和工学硕士学位。在硕士期间，以联合培养的方式在中国科学院软件所学习一年。硕士研究生的主要方向是针对典型聚类算法的优化。博士就读于香港城市大学，师从杨宗华教授。博士期间的主要研究课题是大规模近似视频检索，研究也涉及视觉物体分类/检测。他于2010年11月获得哲学博士学位。

      他于2011年2月赴德国凯泽斯劳腾大学（TU-KL）从事博士后研究，师从Thomas M. Breuel教授。期间主要的研究课题是针对安检采集的X光图像的危险物品识别。他于2012年7月转赴法国国家信息与自动化所(INRIA)继续做博士后，师从Herve Jegou博士和Gravier Guillaume博士。这期间研究的主要课题是，大规模图像链接生成和大规模近似图像检索。
